Congress is going through the dance to confirm the next Supreme Court Justice. In the midst of that circus you can see every kind of bad politics from anyone with a voice. It’s all so ridiculous it would be funny if it wasn’t our country doing it.
In the meantime, this mediapalooza is mostly a distraction from real stories that actually matter. One of those took place in New Mexico last month. You’ve probably heard a little about this story, but you likely don’t know the true depths of terror that took place in a quiet mountain residence.
What You Heard
New Mexico is a mostly quiet state. There are no major sports teams. Their politicians often fly under the radar. If you talk to a New Mexican you’ll hear a lot about green chile and nothing else.
So, when this story broke and the mainstream media mostly yawned at it, it wasn’t too surprising. It was just another case of backwoods people doing backwoods things.
Apparently, somewhere in rural New Mexico there was a compound. A couple of families lived off the grid there, and the conditions were bad. Since children lived there, the bad conditions justified child abuse, and after they were raided, the body of a three-year-old was discovered. It’s bad and shocking, but not a major story. There’s nothing to see here, so we can all move along.
What Was Omitted
If that’s the story you heard, then you have been sorely deceived by the mainstream media. This is anything but a run-of-the-mill story, and it has nothing to do with backwoods folk. The compound was actually founded and run by extremist Muslims. Despite what mainstream media will tell you, these were not peace-loving Muslims. They were hell bent on jihad.
Probably the biggest detail missing from the mainstream narrative is that this compound wasn’t just treating the kids roughly. It was training them to be terrorists. The kids are on record with the FBI reporting that they were taught military drills, fast reloading, hand-to-hand combat and other fighting skills. All of this was to take down civilian targets within the United States. Two of those targets included a hospital and public schools.
You still don’t think this is a big deal? The head of the whole thing is a man named Siraj Ibn Wahhaj. That name already gives you a clear idea, but this particular man is the son of Siraj Wahhaj. He was a co-conspirator in the World Trade Center bombing. No, not 9/11. He was part of the 1993 bombing. Does that clarify things a bit?
How Far Will the Mainstream Media Go?
This story is a gold mine for the leftist narrative. When arrested, the men of the compound were carrying AR-15s, high-capacity magazines and multiple backup weapons. It is everything the left hates. They weren’t just carrying weapons; they were training children. Worst of all, they were actively planning school shootings. Where is David Hogg?!
In reality, this story tells you everything you need to know about the mainstream media and the left. They will abandon one of the most powerful narratives available to them, and they will do it because the bad guys were Muslim.
While you might think this is just more of their Muslim apologetics, it’s actually something far more sinister. The reason mainstream media isn’t reporting this story is because it proves conservatives right. We’ve been saying for years that Muslim extremists want nothing more than to set up terror camps in our own backyards. Now, here they are.
In all of this craziness, you have to remember one thing. It’s all about political power. When you boil it down, it’s all about votes. The people running the left are more afraid of running a story that might coincidentally support a conservative narrative than they are of literal terrorists training and murdering children within our borders. Think about that for a minute.
They will silence a story of this magnitude because they are more afraid of Donald Trump and Lindsey Graham than they are of murderers sworn to kill them. That is a stupidity that can only be developed through extended privilege, and it was always the inevitable endpoint of left-wing politics. When will enough be enough?
